Honolulu cuts federal fund projections for rail by $300M

A consultant's report questioning the financing assumptions the City and County of Honolulu made for its rail project that was criticized as "shoddy" by Mayor Peter Carlisle caused the city to lower by $300 million its projections about the amount of federal funding.
Honolulu Civil Beat reports that a draft financial plan changed the forecast for the "bus discretionary" funds to $117 million, down from $419 million.
